Comet Community - We Need YOU
Cheer for a Cure, the organization that I founded to honor the memory of my mother (with immense help from friends and family) was born right here in Genoa High School. The incredible people of this community worked hard to help build this event and organization to what it is today... a grass roots 501(c)(3) national, non-profit organization. Collectively as cheerleaders, coaches, and fans we raise money to donate to families who have loved ones suffering from cancer and need assistance to alleviate the added stress of medical house-hold bills.
One can’t prepare for tragedy.. and when it hits, it strikes hard. We seek to stand in the gap for those who need help, to aid in softening the blow. It is only right that when one of our very own children is suffering, we use this opportunity to GIVE BACK and COVER their family with love, encouragement, and monetary support.
Carson, a sophomore at Genoa High School was diagnosed earlier in the school year with Leukemia and has been receiving treatment over the past 3 months. He has a very long and tough road ahead. Please consider giving to help us support his family in the battle of his LIFE.
ALL DONATIONS received to this page will given to directly to the family of Carson, after our 15th Annual Cheer for a Cure event, January 19th.
Thank you for being a part of CARSON'S COMETS!

High School Student Council
Happy New Year from the Genoa Student Council! During December, the student council members were busy getting together Candy Grams. The Genoa student body raised almost $700 that went to the school's hygiene closet, the holiday bureau, and to the families within our own community! Those families received gift cards for Target and Kroger to buy other gifts and food, they were grateful and very touched. We are very proud of all the students who bought Candy Grams, and to the Student Council for all their continuous hard work! We hope to carry this momentum into 2019.
