Monthly Core Value: Justice
Students are expected to follow our Core Values here at EBCA. January's Core Value is Justice.
Justice helps us figure out what is fair, what is right and what is wrong. When justice is working, everyone feels like they are being treated fairly. Rules and laws help people figure out what is ‘just’ or fair (source).
School Resumes (01/09)
Happy New Year Wildcat Family! We hope you are all well and the kids are ready to return.
School will resume on Monday, January 9th. EBCA sent home a COVID rapid test with your student last month before break. Look for it in their backpack and please test your child before they return to school. If they test positive, keep them home and call the school at (559) 457-2530 to speak to our nurse to get a return date.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - No School (01/16)

Attendance
We have seen an increase in tardies and that is unacceptable. We ask for your help to get your child to school on time. The flag salute on the blacktop is at 7:50 AM. One of the best lifelong habits you can teach your child is to be on time.
If you are late, it is hard to be great!
Don't Be Afraid to Be Great!
Classroom Celebrations Policy
Food or Balloons of any kind may not be dropped off at school for class birthday celebrations. The main reasons for this are healthy nutrition and we have several students with a variety of food and latex allergies that we must monitor.
We will limit classroom celebrations to that last 30 minutes of the day for the following days:
- October 31 - Halloween (when it falls during the week Monday-Friday)
- November 18 - Thanksgiving Break (last day before Thanksgiving break)
- December 16 - Winter Break (last day before winter break)
- February 14 - Valentine’s Day (when it falls during the week Monday-Friday)
- June 8 - last day of school
Keep in mind these are the only days allowed but grade levels will have the discretion to not participate if they feel it is a disruption to the learning process.

Cano Boxing is an After School Program partnership where Trained Boxing coaches come with a mission to make impactful positive changes in student lives through the sport of boxing. By the end of the program, students will have gained the knowledge and discipline of a respectful boxer, and all the fun equipment, personal wraps, and gloves will be provided to our athletes.
A new beginners class will be offered soon.
