BVMS CAMPUS CLOSURE
The COVID-19 Pandemic and its impact on school site instruction is constantly being reassessed and we are committed to keeping the families of our students informed as we continue distance learning and plan for the return of students and learning to the halls of BVMS.
Please remember, we are in school, just delivering instruction in a different format. Continued participation in distance learning through the Google Classrooms and paper resources teachers have developed for their students has become a critical part of ensuring ALL of our students continue to be lifelong learners.
We ask that our staff, students, and families practice social distancing, remain vigilant about your health, stay home as much as possible, and avoid large gatherings in order to lesson the spread of COVID-19.
Student Work, Exams, and Chromebook Return
Bayou View Middle School students with any paper classwork, paper exams, Chromebooks, and any other items needing to be returned to the school will need to return those items on Tuesday, May 19th. Our final drive-through drop-off will be setup in our main entrance parking lot on Chamberlain Avenue from 10:00am until 5:00pm. Please make certain that students' first and last names are on all work and exams to be turned in and that chargers are returned with the Chromebooks.
2019-2020 School Year Farewell Event
Friday, May 22 BVMS 6th and 7th Grade Teachers and Administration will be lined up along 43rd Street and the 8th Grade Teachers will be in the front parking lot from 5:00 to 6:00pm to offer good tidings and say have a great summer. Students and families should remain in their vehicles during the drive-by to maintain social distancing.
Online FABLAB Summer Camp Registration
If you have already signed up for an in-person FABLAB camp, you are encouraged to sign up for an online camp the same week/weeks just in case we are required to go that route. This will not prevent you from attending an in-person camp once we are allowed to do those, but it will allow your child to at least get some STEM exposure in the meantime. Please click the form below to register.
FABLAB Summer Camp
Registration for the FABLAB Summer Camp Program is now open.
