Inigo Jones
Austin Singlton
Biography
He spent most of his life in Italy.
No one knows much about his education.
No one also knows about his early life but he did some traveling between 1596/97 and 1605 which helped him become an architect.
He worked on the Queen's house at Greenwitch, the first church church structure in England, etc.
His patrons were Queen Anne, Queen Henrieta Maria.
The Work
Started in 1616 and finished in 1635.
This took so long because the Queen Anne died in 1619 and they didn't start back up until 1630 for Queen Henrieta Maria.
This is important because Inigo wouldn't have done this if he didn't fight with the king for shooting one of his favorite dogs while hunting. He was making it up to him by doing this for the Queen.
This represents capitalism because the Queen has power.
