Changes coming in August!
Starting August 5th the Dock children will check in at the top of the stairs at 10 AM. They will get a name tag, that they will wear and the parent will get another name tag with their child's name on it. The children will go downstairs where they will have game time and crafts to start out their Sunday morning. The children will be downstairs for the entire service. When the adult service is over you will come to the check-in station and give the person at the station the name badge of your child. One parent will then be allowed to go downstairs to pick up your child.
Why are we doing this? This is being done for the safety of your children and for our guests. If a guest does not feel that their child is in a safe environment, they will not come back to a church. There will be more on this in the July Newsletter.
Thank you for your support in protecting all of our children.
The children in the Pre School class will also check-in at the same location.

We will continue our trek through the Old Testament, learning about Noah, Abraham & Sarah, and Jacob & Esau. We will spend 2 weeks on each story and send home an information sheet on each of these Godly people. We’d love for you to read the story, ask your child questions and do some of the suggested activities. Reinforcing what we’ve learned each Sunday will go a long way in helping God’s Word stick in their minds and hearts!

The Kids Dock!
We are looking at three different ways that a person becomes a hero of the faith. Last month Corrie Ten Boom became a hero because of the situation she was in. This month Jim Elliot becomes a hero of the faith by doing what God asked him to do. Lastly, John Newton became a hero of the faith by his life being changed by God.
In July we begin looking at the life of Jim Elliot and his 4 missionary friends.
Here are our Jim Elliot questions for July.
Who was Jim Elliot? He was a missionary.
What did Jim Elliott and his friends want to do? He wanted to share Jesus with the most dangerous tribe of people on earth
What happened to Jim Elliot and his friends when they tried to share Jesus with the tribe? They were all killed.
After Jim Elliot and his friends were killed what happened? Jim’s wife and Nick Saints sister lived with the tribe.
What happened when the wife and sister lived with the tribe? The people of the tribe became Christians.
What else happened because Jim Elliot and his friends were obedient to God? God inspired many people to become missionaries.
