North Side HS

On Saturday the North Side Cross Country team traveled to Southlake to run in the Southlake #1 XC Invite, a very fast and competitive meet.

Once again, our Senior, Janet Watson killed it, placing 2nd out of 328 girls in the Varsity race. Watson set a new PR of 19:13, while beating her previous 5k PR of 20:13 in 2022 by exactly a minute. 😲

This Friday the Steers will be heading to Burleson to compete in the Burleson Elk Run XXIII 2023.

Western Hills HS

The Western Hills Cross Country Team competed at the Southwest Christian School this past weekend. It was a tough course with lots of Hills and our athletes competed well. We're excited for this 2O23-2024 season and want to congratulate all our returning runners for lowering their time from last years' time on the course. Michelle Gutierrez placed 8th place with a time of 16:15.

FWISD Tennis

Western Hills HS

Yesterday, Tuesday, August 29 the Cougar tennis team had its first district play against the reigning district champs, the Ranchview Wolves. The final score was not in our favor, but your cougars played much better than the scores would suggest. Almost every set played came close to winning sets, but we struggled to close each one out. Your Cougars played hard against a strong opponent, and we are still in a good standing for the overall district outcome we're hoping for! Congratulate any tennis players you see throughout the day today!
