From Mr. Yarkosky and his Principles of Engineering Class!

Students in the Principles of Engineering class were learning about thermodynamics by creating insulating containers measuring the power loss of hot water to the surrounding system. Students tried conventional materials like fiberglass and foam insulation as well as novel techniques like 3D printing and using construction materials like cinder blocks to minimize the amount of heat lost. Students measured the heat transfer using data collection software and calculated the total heat lost as well as the average rate of power lost.

The KT Boosters Club wants YOU to help out!

The Boosters Club is seeking family volunteers who are able to volunteer their time (even a few hours a week!) to help out at the snack shack, at football games, or at weekend events at Keefe Tech. Volunteers come in all different forms, moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, etc... We need more support for our students!

The Boosters organization raises money each year to provide scholarships to outstanding seniors in each academic and vocational program. At Senior Awards Night last year, the Boosters gave out over $10,000 in scholarships! Please see the flyer below for more information.

If you are able to help out please reach out to Jessica at boosters@jpkeefehs.org!
