Valentine's Day Party
Our 3rd grade party will be in the afternoon on Valentine's Day. We do not need any volunteers for this party and will just be doing something small in the classroom: craft, snack, passing out valentines/decorating bags, and watching a movie.
Valentines- If your child plans to pass out Valentines, please make sure that you have one for every child in the classroom. We have 26 students.
Snow Fun!
We do go outside twice a day, every day. We stay in only when the wind chill dips below zero, which is not very often. When it snows (we know it's coming soon!), boots and snow pants are required in order to leave the black top area. Students love to go out on the field where all the giant snowballs and snow forts get built.
Some families choose to leave an extra pair of snow pants and slip on shoes at school. We found out that knit mittens get wet really fast and don't dry out between recesses. A good pair of snow mittens will make recess more fun. Please make sure all snow gear is labeled with your child's name - the lost and found pile is enormous already.
If your family needs assistance with getting proper snow gear, please reach out to your child's teacher or Dr. Rheaume (rheauml@gpschools.org).
