MCA Weekly Wrap-Up!

Primary & KinderPrep Family News - Sept. 28, 2018

Dear Families,

It's hard to believe it's almost the end of the first quarter already! If you haven't signed up with your child's teacher for parent-teacher conferences yet, please make sure you do so! It is always our goal to meet with 100% of our families during this time to share about your child's successes and opportunities for growth.

We begin a new month this week, and boy, it is a busy one! Please make sure you are looking ahead at your calendar so you don't miss out on any of the excitement! The auction is coming up very soon, and I can't wait to see who bids on "Principal for the Day"! If you don't know what I'm talking about, make sure you check out the auction info below!

Enjoy the wonderful fall weather this weekend with your families!

Blessings!

Mrs. Howell

Special thanks!

The entry hallways at North campus have a beautiful fresh coat of paint thanks to some energetic and very artistic ladies. Aletha Pellam, Mary Jo Flint, Janice Favero and Angela Knight have brightened up our hallways and warmed our hearts with their kindness. I would like you to join me in expressing many thanks for a job well done!

Leave 'em at Home

Due to the continued disruptions caused by these items, we are not allowing Pokémon cards to be brought to school (during the regular school day or during Extended Care). Please help us by encouraging your child to empty his or her backpack and pockets of any of these cards before they come to school. Thank you for helping us maintain an environment of positive learning and collaboration at MCA!

An Invitation from Parents in Prayer

This week we had the privilege of praying for the Rainbow room and Mrs. Rienke. We also lifted up a parent who is struggling with health concerns and as we were leaving the school she pulled up! We were able to embrace her and tell her that we had prayed for her this very morning. Prayer is powerful!! We would love to have more parents come alongside and pray with us on Thursday mornings from 8:10-8:30 in room 209 at the North Campus.

Box Tops Time!

It’s time to start collecting Box Tops! When you buy products with Box Tops, please clip the Box Top so our school can earn money! You can send your Box Tops to the office at any time throughout the year, however, we will make our first submission on Oct. 15 so get those Box Tops turned in soon! Please make sure they are not expired and they are neatly clipped. We appreciate you helping support our school in this small way! Contact Mrs. Thomas if you have any questions.

We need you!

We have several opportunities for volunteers to serve at the school on both campuses! If you would like to help out in the lunchroom as a supervisor, supporting teachers in the classrooms, or in many other ways, please let me know and we will get you started with the process! All volunteers at MCA are required to complete a Volunteer Application and submit to a background check.
