In the mornings, students must have parent supervision until the first bell rings at 8:30am. Parents are expected to either wait with their child at the drop off gate or have their child remain in the car until 8:30am. Kinder families, please keep students in the car until the bell rings. Thank you.

Halloween is Monday:
Families,
Monday is Halloween and a very exciting day for students who participate and celebrate this event. While we don't celebrate Halloween at school, many grade levels have Fall celebrations happening across campus which may include Pumpkin Parties or Fall Festivities. Monday is not a costume day, however, some events happening on campus that day will have students dressing in theme. For example: One grade is dressing as their favorite idiom to support current ELA learning, some grades have students dressing in orange gear to celebrate pumpkin units, other grades are dressing to match a current novel or reading activity.
Please refer to the communication sent out directly by your child's teacher to know what is appropriate for his/her grade level. There are NO MASKS or costume/toy weapons allowed on campus.
Thank you for your partnership and support!

Weekly Message from the Founder of ALL THINGS EQ (Danna Evans):
The motto this week in school is:
I know what I am looking forward to today.
We can get so caught up in the daily routines of life that we find ourselves just getting through our day instead of enjoying it. When we ask students what they enjoy about school, the usual answers are recess, lunch, or the end of the day.
If you think about those answers are equivalent to saying my favorite day is Friday. Yes, we look forward to Friday. But what if we also enjoyed Monday? Isn't that something we want for our children?
This week, help your child develop a habit of optimism by asking them what they plan to enjoy in school today. Optimism is important because it is a foundational skill. If we don't believe things can get better, we are less likely to try again when we stumble.
Look for something positive in each day, even if some days you have to look a little harder. -Brian Ford
As parents, we can help our children develop a more optimistic outlook. One way to start is by putting a sticky note with the word KNOW in your car or somewhere where you will see it each morning before your children leave for school. The sticky note will remind you to ask your child what they know they are looking forward to today. Encourage your child to have more than one answer to that question because the more answers they have, the more they will enjoy their day.
