Mountaineer Message

August 29, 2022

Mountaineer Families,

Thank you so much for attending our open house on Thursday evening. It was so exciting to see our new and returning Mountaineers. We are looking forward to welcoming them back to school on Thursday.

We have limited school supplies available for students. If your child is in need of anything please let their teacher know and we will get them supplies.

We begin welcoming students onto campus at 8:45 either by crosswalk or parent drop-off at the back gate. At this time students who will be purchasing breakfast may go directly to the gym. Please note we will have many adults available to support your student in where to go in the first few days of school.

STUDENT ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL

Please complete the below survey to inform us how your student will be arriving to and from school each day.

PARENT PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF

Parents are expected to follow the parent pick-up and drop-off map. Students are not to be dropped off at the front of the school or in the bus loop unless students are arriving late or have made special arrangements. This helps to ensure student safety. Please be patient in the parent pick-up/drop off line as it can take some time, especially at the beginning of the school year. If you did not pick up your parent pick-up tag for your vehicle, you can pick them up in the front office.

STUDENT BIKE/SCOOTER/SKATEBOARD PARKING

Ptarmigan Ridge Elementary added new bike racks and scooter/skateboard locker for our students. The new racks are located at the entrance of the Ptarmigan Ridge on the right side. Students who ride a bike/scooter/skateboard will park at the new rack and walk down the sidewalk to the entrance of the building. Students need to bring their own lock to secure the bike/scooter. Check out the new bike racks the next time you visit PTR!
