Thank Yous
Third Grade Team- On Thursday, we had 11 subs in the building in 3rd and 4th grades due to trainings. At the end of the day, Kim and I walked down to ask 3rd grade teachers (who were on campus for their training) if they could help our subs with dismissal. They had already left their meeting and were at their dismissal areas before we could get there. Thank you to an amazingly positive team who went above and beyond. We definitely appreciated this.
Patti Page- Daily Patti can be found helping with arrival and dismissal with our special friends in Life. This is not part of her duty. Patti is a person who pitches in wherever there is a need without even being asked. Thank you!!!
Lynn, Stephenie, and Heather Grim have transformed our office in just a short amount of time. In the past couple of weeks, we have received 3 more comment cards complimenting our welcoming office staff. Not only that, they complete such a variety of jobs that we've lost count. Thank you for your flexibility, generosity, and positive attitudes! Not to mention the Christmas decorations look adorable!
Golden Egg Award/Caught Reading
Next week, I will be sharing different books on announcements. We have created a list of 10 recommended books. At the end of the year, students will be able to vote on their favorite book. The book which receives the most votes will receive the Golden Egg Award at our last SOAR assembly.
In addition, Mrs. Parrish will begin collecting pictures of teachers reading. Think of the famous 'Caught Reading' posters. We would like teachers and staff to share a picture of them reading in their favorite place. Email your picture to sara.parrish@kellerisd.net Please send a picture to her by January 9, 2015. Once we display the posters, we will encourage students to send in their pictures, and we will display them next to their teacher's poster.
