Our STEM Activity is going to be an activity where student design a Carnival parade float and get it to move on its own using magnets...
For this activity we would like to start collecting some supplies. If you would like to donate any of these items we would be so appreciative!!

Tiger Teacher Topics of the Week
Mrs. Jester's Math
All of Mrs. Jester's students were given a missing assignment report for math on Monday, May 1st. As this school year draws to a close, it is important that you student stay current with their assignments.
This week in Pre-AP Pre-Algebra, Mrs. Jester's students will continue applying the properties of integer exponents to generate equivalent numerical expressions.
This week in 6th grade math, Mrs. Jester's students will complete their "Dream House" activity and begin their "Design a Zoo" project.
Mrs. Turnbow's Math
Mrs. Turnbow's students will continue to review and prepare for 7th Grade.
Ms. Jasper's Science
This week we will begin chapter 8 lessons 2 and 3. We will be discussing changing populations and communities.
Reminders:
Chapter 7 Test is Friday, May 5.
8.2 and 8.3 Quiz is Wednesday, May 10.
Chapter 8 and 9 Test is Tuesday, May 16.
Ms. Clark's Science
This week, we are learning about
1) Earth's different biomes, and
2) the order in which life returns to a region that has been scorched by fire, for example.
Our activity this week will be a virtual lab which will enhance our students' abilities in locating the correct biome given a set of clues.
Mr. Janzen and Mrs. Anderson's Social Studies
Mr. Janzen and Mrs. Anderson's social studies classes are continuing our studies of South America. Mr. Janzen's classes will be completing a physical map of the region and Mrs. Anderson's classes will be researching the early civilizations of the Aztec, Maya and Inca for a group project. Both teams will continue to create flashcards for their Essential 100 Vocabulary Test scheduled for May 12th.
Mrs. Frank and Ms. Walter's English
Students are plunging into our last novel, Hatchet. This story is about Brian who is forced to survive after crashing in the Canadian forest.
Mrs. Edwards' Literacy
We are reading The Running Dream. We are working on skills such as: summarizing info., illustrating what we have read, identifying/discussing key quotes within the novel, and understanding the vocabulary used throughout.
