Julian Sandt- Tenor Sax
Beck Phillips- Bari Sax

Weston Eastwood – Percussion
All-State Band competition was held on Saturday, January 13.
Congratulations to Emmett Brady (Euphonium) for making the All-State 5A Band!
All-State is the highest honor a Texas music student can receive. In 5A, 1,440 students around the state qualified for area tryouts. Out of those 157 make it to all-state band. This competitive process begins throughout the state in auditions hosted by 33 TMEA Regions. Individual musicians perform selected music for a panel of judges who rank each instrument. From this ranking, a select group of musicians advances from their Region to compete against musicians from other Regions in eight TMEA Area competitions. The highest-ranking musicians judged at the TMEA Area competitions qualify to perform in a TMEA All-State music group. These All-State students participate in three days of rehearsals directed by nationally recognized conductors during the annual state TMEA Clinic/Convention in San Antonio February 14-17th with a concert on the 17th. Their performances before thousands of attendees bring this extraordinary event to a close.
Congratulations to all!

Thank you very much to those who have generously given already! We know everyone is very busy and is asked to give to many school causes. If you will choose to donate at least one of the following, it will be a huge help:
1. Re-gift/Donate a Christmas present that's not quite your style, or isn't something you need
2. Send us your unwanted baskets! If you have baskets around your house that can be used to build a basket for a donation, please consider donating it!
3. We are still collecting gift cards for dining out and for places that you like to shop, as well as other gift items and spirits.
4. Send something for a Band Sectional basket
Feel free to email Donata Garvey for any questions regarding donations. Please leave items in the donation box in the uniform room. If you have wine or spirits, DO NOT bring to school. Contact Donata, and she can arrange for a time to meet or pick up the item.
Sincerely,
