Boonville High School
Pirate FYI - January 18, 2022
Dear Boonville High School Families:
The Boonville Board of Education met today at 4:15 p.m. to address the district concerns with illness, covid/flu, and staffing concerns. As reported in the board meeting today, we are unable to fill a significant number of classrooms to effectively keep each school running. As a result, the Boonville R-1 School District will move temporarily to a period of virtual instruction.
Wednesday, January 19 will be a teacher and district work day to prepare for virtual instruction. Each building will be open for device check out, hotspot check out, and food service will be working to ensure students can receive meals at LSE.
Virtual learning will take place January 20 and 21, but with the potential to be extended through next week.
Wednesday, January 19
Students and families should look for an email communication from teachers regarding expectations for virtual learning January 20-21. This includes any upcoming assignments.
BHS Textbook and Technology Pick Up
BHS students who have left their device at school may stop by between 7:00-4:00 p.m to pick up their device from their locker. This includes picking up their charger. Hotspots can be checked out in the LMC. The oldest child in the home is responsible for checking out the hotspot.
LSE Textbook and Technology Pick Up
LSE students without a device at home can check out a school issued Chromebook from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Hotspots can also be checked out for families without internet access.
