ACT Workshop

Last week about 100 PCHS students had the opportunity to work with an expert from ACT SUCCESS. This session was available to any student testing on Dec 9th or was interested in ACT prep. The facilitator, Mr. Jim Giovannini, met with students and ACT instructors to help identify strategies to maximize each student's personal score. The session was held in the morning inside the Wilson Auditorium and was both engaging and educational. Each student who attended received a test preparation book along with lecture notes from Mr. Giovannini. This opportunity is part of PCHS's ongoing college and career readiness initiative.

The ACT workshop will be provided again to all 11th graders who elect to take the ACT this April 3rd. Students who choose to participate have the opportunity to work with Mr. Giovannini on March 28th, 2018. Please talk with your college-bound student about this great opportunity and if you have any questions please contact the counseling department.

Bullying and Safety Concerns

Safety is one of our district’s top priorities and to help safeguard our school community, our district is now using SafeSchools Alert, a tip reporting service that allows students, staff, and parents to submit safety concerns to our administration.

You and your child can easily report tips on bullying, harassment, or any safety issue you're concerned about through SafeSchools Alert.

Every tip SafeSchools Alert receives about our district is immediately logged in the system and our administration is notified so that they can investigate and take appropriate action. And, tips may also be submitted anonymously if you prefer.

Together, using SafeSchools Alert, we can make our district a safer place to learn!
