Weekly Message
The past week was College Go! Week. We ask high school students very early on to start deciding what they want to do after graduation. Some students know from the time they enter high school what they want to do, where they want to go, and how their entire future will look. Others are more focused on the "right now", and that plan develops over time.
What is most important is that all students are considering what their life will look like after they hear their name at graduation and they collect their diploma. There are so many paths a student can take. Some of those involve going to a 4-year college, a trade school, or to college for an associate's degree. Other paths are more focused on internships or getting their foot in the door early. We have students that will also explore committing to the armed forces.
No matter the path, and whether it involves college or not, we want students to know their options and we are here to help guide them to the best path to meet their goals. College Go! week is always a great time to start those conversations, provide guidance, or to check-up on student progress towards their goals.
If students or families have questions about pathways, careers, or colleges, please contact the high school office and we would be happy to help!
As another reminder, here are a few significant numbers:
Current F's THS: 129
Class days until End of 1st quarter: 11
Have a great weekend!

October 11th: Parent Teacher Conference Night
High school teachers may send you an email or make a phone call requesting a conference with guardians based on a student's grades or performance in class.
Guardians may also call or email to request a time to meet. A staff directory can be found here.
Please note: If your student is struggling, the best way we can move them forward is partnering the work we do at school with the work you do at home.
Please take advantage of this opportunity! Our staff is looking forward to working with parents/guardians to make sure all students are successful at Tipton High School.
October 12th: PSAT Day!
This is a day that we hope all students will get a good night's sleep, will have breakfast in the morning, and will be prepared to do their best on the test!
The schedule for the day can be found here.
Attention Seniors!
You will not take the PSAT, and will have several options to choose from. Please click here to explore the options and pick your preference.
