Halloween Parties/Parade
We will have parties on Friday, the 29th, for our students. The teachers will be running these parties. You are welcome to send in a treat and the teachers will be in contact with you. We are asking students to wear orange on Friday. With not having parents helping out, wearing costumes would be very challenging so that is why we are asking students to wear orange.
Again, I apologize. It is not what we had initially planned, but out of caution, we will run our parties this way.

Parent-Teacher Conferences
Conferences are Nov. 10, 11 in the late afternoon and evening, and then on the 12th in the morning. We have an early release on the 10th and 11th of November for conferences and no school on the 12th.
First Grade
The first graders celebrated the start of autumn by learning about apples! We learned about the parts of an apple, the life cycle of an apple, and of course, Johnny Appleseed! We peeled apples and patiently waited for them to cook so we could taste the delicious warm applesauce!
PTO News
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Club Choice fundraiser! We’ll have totals for the amount sold and earned soon, and we may be reaching out for assistance on delivery day. It was a huge success! The spirit wear sale is still going on through Friday, October 8. This is Eastwood gear not specific to any sport or activity. The store is online at https://store.ortinauart.com/eastwood_pto/shop/home
Our next meeting is Wednesday, October 13 at 8:30 pm online. We are working on the best platform for the meeting. We will be reviewing the by-laws and talking about ideas for the year. If you are looking for a way to get involved, please join us! We tried some new things last year, and we would love to hear more ideas on how we can continue to support and appreciate our wonderful teachers and staff at Eastwood.
