Creating Instructional Videos
When was the last time you created a video to introduce a topic, provide an assignment overview, or to review your students before an exam? Adobe Spark Video is a video story-telling tool that will allow you to do all of these things for your students. Help keep your students engaged in class, OR give your students an opportunity to use Adobe Spark Video for an assignment. Students can write photo essays, create chapter reviews, provide a position on a topic, and more using this technology tool. The job aid below will help your students begin to use this free application.
Don't Forget Grit
At LSC-Tomball, we believe that grit and growth mindset are key to student success. That is why we have decided to infuse these concepts into our courses. Since your students are LSC-Tomball Timberwolves, we would like for grit and growth mindset to become a part of their dual credit experience. Please visit the Grit Initiatives page to see the Grit Newsletters which will fill you in on our grit initiatives for the semester. You will also have access to weekly grit assignments, videos, and a reading list.
Resources for Students
In addition to Faculty Resources, we have created a page that has Resources for Dual credit Students. There is information here for prospective dual credit students and current dual credit students. Please encourage your students to review the DC handbook and preview the student success resources. As with the Faculty Resources page, this site will be updated periodically with information. Please remind your students that this page was created just for them!
