Clark Weekly News
For the week ending 12/3/21
Gratitude and Celebration!
Thanks to the family of Marcel Langella for staff breakfast!
Although Martin County High School beat Jensen Beach 48 to 39 on Wednesday, two of our Clark stars excelled on the court! Anna Witt added 11 points to Martin County’s winning score. Lauren Cioffi knocked down 23 points for Jensen. (Pictured together here).
Kudos to Dakota Beurrier and to Becca O’Neill for their amazing dance and choreography for the recent Nutcracker and dance studio performances! Wonderful!!!
At our assembly on Monday, the following students were nominated by peers and staff for the Character Counts! November pillar of Respect: Connor Barral, Emma Boyer, Al Cornacchio, Grace Drumm, Katie Hale, Cooper Haralson, and Abe Zbib.
While all are amazingly respectful students, Cooper Haralson was selected as this month's recipient. Some of the reasons Cooper was selected in the words of others: "Cooper is sincere and true to his word, always doing what he is asked to do and accomplishes his tasks with a high level of success, this is respect in action." "He is eager to learn, willing to help, and always has a smile on his face." "In person, Cooper always smiles and asks about how I am doing and if he can help with anything… and it is GENUINE! In emails, he demonstrates very respectful communication and again, a sincerity in kindness." "Always so respectful and always so pleasant to adults and classmates. Copper is an incredibly kind human being – the best kind!" See pictures below.

Every day is a celebration!
Make a Difference Mondays!
we want to spotlight the NHS and SNHS members who were ready and willing to do a beach clean up over break, but the rain kept that from happening. We do encourage all students to go for a walk in this gorgeous weather on the beach or even in your neighborhood and bring a bag to collect any trash you see. Let’s work together to beautify our communities!
Take Care Tuesdays!
we will focus on taking care of your stress levels with final exams coming soon. The number one way to manage stress of big tests and projects is to not procrastinate. Cramming the night before does not work and will actually make you perform worse because of a lack of sleep and excess stress. Plan out your next couple of weeks to allow time for reviewing your notes, participating in study groups, and reading your textbooks and assigned materials. All of this will help you finish strong without excessive anxiousness and worry!
Way to Go Wednesdays! Today's submission was sent in by a student. She wanted to recognize Chloe Lang for tirelessly coloring the poster on the glass enclosure, beautifying our school. Thanks to all who also add color and brightness!
Thankful Thursdays! Today we are thankful for choice in our education. Every person at Clark made the choice to seek a school to be challenged, feel a sense of belonging, and have some fun while learning. As a staff and student body, we are truly committed to being better together!
Fun Fact Fridays! Did you know that The Florida Keys is a group of about 1,700 tiny islands, and a famous tourist attraction and vacation spot of our state. May your travels take you to this paradise as a tacky tourist in your future!!!!!
Handbook Highlight
If you are scheduled for a class, you MUST follow these procedures to be excused and leave campus for ANY reason. Page 11
Early Dismissal from a Scheduled Class If the student must leave campus before the end of his/her scheduled school day, the following steps must be taken: 1. See Student Services in Room 218. 2. Student Services contacts parent/guardian to obtain permission to leave early. 3. Upon receiving permission, student and parent must sign out in the log book located at the front desk. Before a student can be released to anyone, authorization must be verified through Student Services.
