Greetings Washington Families,


It is my hope that you and your loved ones are doing well! Please know that our staff is working hard to make sure your child(ren) needs are being met!


Family Involvement and Input Process

As your principal, I highly value input from all stakeholders including students, parents, families, community members, and staff. We will be revising our Family Engagement Plan and Budget, Family/School Compact, and our School Continuous Improvement Plan (SCIP).


Saint Paul Public Schools is dedicated to a process of continuous improvement, where students, parents, families, community members, and staff cooperate to reach the school and district visions of high academic achievement for all students.

Midquarter Grades for Quarter 4

Midquarter Grades were posted this week. Please look over your student's grades with them and encourage them to complete assignments. Summer 2021 Meal Information





Home Delivery - June 21-August 26

Families interested in receiving home meal box delivery this summer must register. The registration form will be available at spps.org/2021meals. Each child in the household, including non-school aged children, can receive a meal box, but only one registration per household is necessary. There is no cost for home delivery.

Families that currently get home delivery will be automatically enrolled in summer meal delivery and DO NOT have to re-register.


Families that currently participate in meal box pickup must register if they would like meal box delivery this summer.


Curbside Pick Up - June 21-August 26

There will be seven locations for curbside meal box pickup this summer. No registration is required to pick up at these sites.

The Rice & Larpenteur Alliance Presents: Community In Bloom!

Saturday, May 15 from 11-1pm at Lake McCarrons County Park



Bring your family to Lake McCarrons Park for an art-filled afternoon of fun. Help local artist Shakun Maheshwari select a community mosaic and unwind in the beauty of the park. Other activities include: Fishing, Crafts, Lawn Games, and Local Food Trucks This will be a low-touch and open air event, with masks and hand sanitizer readily available. Please wear your masks.

Emergency Broadband Benefit Program

What is the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program?


The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program is a program that provides a temporary discount on monthly broadband bills for qualifying low-income households. If your household is eligible, you can receive:

  • Up to a $50/month discount on your broadband service and associated equipment rentals
  • Up to a $75/month discount if your household is on qualifying Tribal lands
  • A one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer (with a co-payment of more than $10 but less than $50)

Only one monthly service discount and one device discount is allowed per household.
