Paparangi Citizen 2022
Congratulations to Xavier Walker who was voted Paparangi Citizen 2022 by his Rākau Nui peers. Xavier and his whānau attended a celebration last Friday evening alongside the winning citizens for this year from the other schools in Newlands and Johnsonville.
Swimming Lessons
Swimming lessons continue this week. Students need togs, at least one towel and a drink bottle, all named, in a named bag that they can take on the bus with them. Named goggles and named swimming caps are also welcome, if they are available.
Food in Lunch boxes
We are noticing a large increase in the number of lunches we are providing for our students during swimming. Could you please have a chat with your child to make sure that they have enough food to get through the day?
EOTC Week
Option 1 (visit to the park) on Thursday 8 December is now full. If your child has not yet returned their permission slip, this still needs to be done so that we can take them on the visit to the gully. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help out. If you are still available and have not yet responded could you please let us know as soon as you can.

Year 6 Graduation
Our Year 6 Graduation will be on Tuesday 06 December. Parents of the Year 6 students are invited to attend the graduation ceremony, arriving from 5.30pm ready for the 5.45pm start. Could confirmation slips be returned as soon as possible so that we know how many family members will be attending?
Year 6 Digital Learning
To prevent Year 6s losing their digital work when they move to Intermediate, they should be able to log on to their Google Drive at home and download the folders with their learning in. Any learning in Seesaw can be downloaded as a PDF. This should be done before the end of the school year. If there are any problems with this, please let Jenni or Trelise know and they will try to help with that.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss anything with us, please remember that your first point of contact is your child’s home class teacher. Our email addresses are:
