Stars and Wish
Stars:Do your classroom goals, student personal goals, and your personal goals excite you and hopefully make you a little scared?
- Check out the reading data wall by the library! Kids are excited to check out books to read - let's celebrate reading each day by noticing kids reading and books that they check out! First month of school and we are 1000 books ahead for book check outs compared to last year.
- It was great to see the data folders in progress already this year. Knowing where your students are at and their needs will drive your instruction for the class, small groups, and individuals.
- Routines and procedures are up and going! Thank you for taking time to establish strong classroom procedures and routines to assist with high engagement times for learning.
Wish:
Best Attendance
1st - Craig
2nd - Conroy and Brady
3rd - Barrett
Building Average:96% - Yeah - Keep up the strong focus on school attendance!
Crisis Plan Review/Tidbits
Reminders:
- Have a class list in your emergency backpack for an attendance check and a place for parents to sign their child out in the case of an emergency.
- Be sure to have radios with you in the case of an emergency.
- If an emergency occurred during lunch hours - tables on the south side of the cafeteria would exit the south blue door and the north tables out the north blue door. All would walk down the hill to the old track.
- We do quarterly fire, storm, and intruder drills as well as 2 earthquake drills a year. Inform parents so that they know we focus on safety at school.
Reminders
- SAP Log # 2 due before September 27. I will put the folder in a team member's box prior to your next meeting.
- Growth plans must be completed by September 13.
- Students should have yearly goals done for reading and math using their iReady scores.
- Contact Myki if you would assistance with new ELA planning or organizing - or anything else that would be beneficial to you.
- Be sure that kids below grade level are working extra on reading with Pam or Deanna - we want to use our para support to benefit students.
