Marketing Manager:
  • A marketing manager is someone who plans, directs, or coordinates marketing policies and programs, such as determining the demand for products and services offered by a firm and its competitors and identity potential customers.

Task for a Marketing Manager:

5 task that a Marketing Manager can do are:

  1. Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction.
  2. Direct and coordinate marketing activités and policies to promote products and services, working with advertising and promotion managers.
  3. consult with buying personnel to gain advice regarding the types of products or services expected to be in demand.
  4. identify, develop, or evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors.
  5. Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, pr return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
These are 5 task that I as a marketing manager in the future would like to preform. I work at a small boutique so I have done and have some experience with the first 2 task listed above.

  • Technology that is used in this career is a lot of software tools for example, electronic mail, graphics or photo imaging, customer relationship management CRM, and analytical or scientific software.

  • Sales and Marketing which requires knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products and services. including marketing strategy and tactics and more.
  • Customer and personal service having the knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service. including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • English language, knowing the structure and content of the language and the meaning, spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammer.
  • Administration and Management, business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Communications and Media, knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. including alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
