• This week in classrooms, I noticed students engaged in partner and group work. Students were working together, collaborating and taking turns. Academic conversations demonstrated a focus and were on task.

• Just a friendly reminder, we have a student early release day next Wednesday. Students are dismissed at 2:10.

• Next week is our last 5 days of school before spring break. Students will return to school after spring break on Monday, April 3rd.

• What an awesome time I had at my first lip sync. Thank you to everyone who played a role in this fun night. I am already looking forward to next year's event.

• In April, we have some fun school wide events to look forward to. Our One Book, One School celebration will be on Thursday, April 6th from 6:00 - 7:30. A week later, we have our big night with the Basket raffle and Bingo night all in one. This night will occur on Friday, April 14th from 6:00 - 8:00.

• We had a successful PTO meeting on Tuesday. Thank you to all for their efforts and hard work planning amazing activities for our students.

• Shout out to our 5th graders, who demonstrated perseverance and grit this week while giving their best effort on the Illinois Science Assessment.

• 3rd, 4th and 5th grade families received the dates today when their children will be assessed on IAR.

• Our book fair will open on March 22, and will be open 8:00 am - 4:00 pm on the 22nd and 23rd. It will close on the 24, and will be open from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm.

• We are up to over 170 respondents for our parent 5essential survey, thank you! Please continue to complete the survey if you haven’t as I really appreciate the feedback. https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/

• Mrs. Scherschel's club Destination Imagination was able to participate in a showcase over the weekend. Read a shout to them and see some pictures of the fun they had! Destination Imagination
