The Skin You're In
January 2015
Happy New Year!
I hope that your new year is off to a great start! The holidays are my favorite time of the year, but January usually finds me catching up on all of the things I neglected in December...including my skin!
While winter may be a great time to cover our skin and cozy up to the fire, the skin hazards that come with this frosty season can wreak havoc on your complexion. Cold temperatures and low humidity can disrupt the skin's natural lipid barrier, causing dehydration and inflammation, leaving your skin looking red, dry and cracked. But there's no need to stand back and let Mother Nature take its course. By incorporating the tips below into your regular skincare routine, you can keep your skin glowing and help prevent wrinkles from showing as winter's cold chill sets in.
Why exfoliate with Micro-Dermabrasion Paste?
Don't just take our word for it...
Other uses for our Micro-Dermabrasion Paste:
Blackheads
Need help with those blackheads? These two products are AMAZING together...here's how they can help in two simple steps:
Step 1: Gently massage microdermabrasion paste on area and rinse (you'll love this so much you'll want to pamper your entire FACE with it!).
Step 2 : Use Unblemish Step 1 as a mask for 10 minutes, then rinse.
Keratosis Pilaris
- Small white or red bumps, typically on the upper arms, legs, and cheeks
- Dry, rough and sometimes itchy skin in the areas with bumps
- Worsening in winter, when humidity is low and skin tends to be drier
Keratosis pilaris may be limited to individual, sandpaper-like bumps resembling goose flesh. In some cases, the bumps may become inflamed and cause scarring, especially on the face.
Gradually, keratosis pilaris usually resolves on its own, but you can help treat it with our Micro-Dermabrasion Paste and SOOTHE Sensitive Skin Treatment.
The Perfect Shave
Men can use Rodan and Fields, too! Using SOOTHE as part of his shaving routine, combined with microdermabrasion paste can eliminate those annoying bumps and minor skin irritations that occur due to shaving.
