SBAC Assessments Grades 3-6 after break
The SBAC assessments are a part of our programming and the outcomes inform our next steps in instruction and support; as well as what we offer learners in the future. Supporting learners with a good night's sleep and a hearty breakfast either at home or in school will set them up for success to ensure that we can see all that they have learned over the past year and prior.
If you have any questions about the assessments, please do not hesitate to reach out to me! (Debbie)
3/4 Production of Jungle Book
A heartfelt message from Kelly Connaughton
Dear Lothrop Community,
I am both exhausted and exhilarated! Does that make sense? I want to thank all of the families and Lothrop school for the opportunity to work with the students. I truly wish I had these types of opportunities as a young child, I think I would have loved it! Our community comes together to create a show like nothing I have ever seen. Whenever I have a need, I ask the community and there has always been someone to answer the call. I am amazed by the positive impact of the experience on the children. The student that could NEVER get on stage can now run, dance and sing as their character. The student that may struggle in academics, can memorize lyrics and dance moves and in doing so finds success. These are the victories that make me do the theater productions year after year. I credit Mary Desforges, she came up with an April Break theater group in 2015 and I haven't stopped since! Thank you Mary and Lothrop (and Brandon) Community for consistently supporting these productions. The team of Lothrop staff behind this is unparalleled. Please thank them individually when you can, because I couldn't do any of this without them! Carolyn Bruce, Nicole Roy, Christine Tate, Deb Alexander, Pat Quenneville, Kevin Duggan, Stacey Pearsons, Nancy Kay, Mackenzie Wilson, Kevin White, the Lothrop Facilities Team and last but not least Sara Eddy! Thank you Dennis Marden and Friends of the Brandon Town Hall. Thank you ALL!
Most Sincerely,
Kelly Connaughton
