A Message from Home and School
Prairie Point Home and School Board
Dear Prairie Point Community,
The Prairie Point Home and School Board would like to formally thank you for your support, dedication, and commitment over the past several years! We are formally announcing that, starting July 1st, the Prairie Point Home and School Board will have several vacancies and we need YOUR help filling these openings!
For those of you who don’t know, the Prairie Point Home and School board serves as the connection between home and school. We facilitate and oversee most of the events offered over the course of the school year including, but not limited to, field day, classroom parties, the color run, bingo night, staff appreciation and much more!
In order to ensure these events continue to take place, we need to fill the open board positions. We are currently looking to fill the following positions:
President: The president serves as the primary contact for the principal, represents the organization at meetings, serves as a member of all committees, and coordinates the work of all the officers and committees.
Vice President: The Vice President shall assist the President, and carry out the President’s duties in his or her absence, or inability, to serve.
Recording Secretary: The Recording Secretary shall keep all records of the organization, take and record minutes, prepare meeting agendas, and ensure that corporate records are maintained.
Treasurer: The Treasurer shall receive all the funds, keep an accurate record of receipts and expenditures, payout, funds, present a financial statement at every meeting, and make a full report at the end of the year.
Corresponding Secretary: The Corresponding Secretary shall handle all correspondence for the organization, send notices of meetings to the membership, and assist with the release and coordination of the organization's information to the school newsletter.
Serving on the Prairie Point Home and School board is such a fulfilling way to be connected to your child’s elementary school and community as a whole. Best of all, it's a wonderful way to make friends!
We would like to invite you to come chat with us during the Fun Fair! Board members will be available in the Art Room, during the Fun Fair, to answer any questions you may have about joining the board. Come join us for a cup of coffee, a cookie, and some great conversation.
Can’t make it to the Fun Fair, but you’re still interested? Send us a quick note and we would be happy to schedule a time to chat!

Art to Remember
Greetings from the art room!
It's almost Art to Remember time! All full day students in K-5 created their own unique artwork during art class in January and February. Each child chose what to draw and finished their ideas with their very best craftsmanship. These images were loaded onto the Art to Remember secure site. Art to Remember offers many amazing keepsakes with your child's artwork on them such as key chains, magnets, plaques, t-shirts and nightlights. Order forms will be coming home next week. Your child's order form will have a special code to access your child's artwork. All orders will be taken online and shipped to the school after spring break. Proceeds from this year's fundraiser will be spread across art, music and PE classes. Please consider participating!
Sincerely, Bev Collins
