Mrs. Walters' News
We kicked off March is Reading month this week! We have TONS of fun planned for our students and families to celebrate our love of reading. Use the calendar below to join in on the fun!
We hope you will join us for our GameWright GameNight on March 19th from 5-7 pm! A flier went home last week. The event is FREE! We do have PRE-PURCHASE pizza and drinks available. Please use the rsvp on the flier to let us know you are coming, the number of slices of pizza and drinks you want and also pay for the food.
Kids Heart Challenge Update: Last week we wrapped up the Kids' Heart Challenge event! Our goal here at Bushnell was to raise $4,000 for the American Heart Association.
I am extremely proud to announce that our Bushnell Bears exceeded this goal and raised a grand total of $4,379.74!! Our students had fun in gym class last week participating in jump rope activities and jumping stations. We even had a group of 7 students, at the same time, jump the long jump rope 9 consecutive times without a mistake...a new record! Many students who raised money will receive the rest of their thank you gifts by spring break. Thank you so very much for your support with this event!
The Great Start Readiness Preschool program, an income based preschool and state funded program, has started their application process. This is a preschool for 4 year old students and is housed at Bushnell. Click the link below for more information!

Conferences are next week! We look forward to discussing all the progress your child has made in the first 2 trimesters.
If you have a new Kindergarten student beginning in the fall, the enrollment button on our website will go live very soon. We are creating a completely online enrollment format this year and want to ensure there are no issues before beginning enrollment.
