School Counselor Update

Highland High School- April 2017

Scholarships

Thousands of scholarship dollars are awarded in April and May. Winners are reminded to take a minute to hand write a Thank You note to those scholarship committees and sponsors. HHS students are extremely lucky to have a supportive community that values the diversity in our student population- there is money available to everyone. If you need help on what to write please see your school counselor.

Registration for 2017-2018

Counselors will be meeting with current juniors to finalize their schedules for senior year soon. All other students will receive their schedule in August. Schedule changes will ONLY occur the first three days of school. Changes can only be made if a student did not request the scheduled course. Level changes require approval from teacher and parent.

Senior Exit Meetings

School Counselors will be meeting with Seniors after Spring Break to complete their exit interview. At this meeting seniors will report plans for after high school and completing their final transcript request. Students will also report scholarships and money received.

Students who have dual credit need to have their transcripts from each institution sent where they would like it transferred.
