Grades in PowerSchool
Just a reminder to please check PowerSchool for your (your child's) first semester grades. This step is vital to verify you (your child) doesn't have any NCA grades and to assure the grade isn't lower than you'd like. Remember, all our yearlong Personalized-Mastery Learning courses (any course in Summit) the 2nd semester year-end grade can become a replacement grade for first semester if the year-end grade is higher (i.e. 1st semester is a C grade and 2nd semester is an A grade - we retroactively replace the 1st semester with an A grade). The time is now in 2nd semester to improve any 1st semester grade. And if there is an NCA in any class from 1st semester those NCA grades need to be resolved as soon as possible for them to change to the grade earned - please connect with our attendance office to confirm opportunities to work time for time in any course with more than 5 absences (an NCA grade).
9-Square Game on Campus
As it starts to get a bit nicer outside, we will soon be having Field Day Activities on Wednesdays to give our Mentors a Prep Break. CHS is looking to see if anyone out there could lend their talents to help build a 9-Square Game for our campus. Our kids love the 9-Square Game and would like to have a permanent court in our courtyard, so we are reaching out to our community for help. If you have any questions or might be able to support this need please call or email Nick Stern at 209-498-0571 or nstern@nsd131.org.
