Happy Birthday Rosa Parks
Rosa Louise McCauley Parks was born February 4, 1913 and passed away on October 24, 2005. Rosa Parks was an American activist and our school proudly carries her name. Rosa Parks received the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal. Upon her death in 2005, she was the first woman to lie in honor in the Capitol Rotunda.
We take great pride in our school's name. Students are reminded to always live their life as a model for others, one of our favorite Rosa Parks quotes. "Dignity, Strength, Courage and Pride guide us to always do our best, be strong for the things that are right, have the courage to stand up for ourselves and others, and take pride in work, our school and our community."
