Penn Pride: We have. We are. Together.
Together ... we run.
Today we had an "olympic style torch run" to raise awareness for the huge Run for the Schools fundraiser this weekend. See details below about how to still get involved.
The torch began at Wickham. Wickham students ran to North Central, North Central students ran to Van Allen, Van Allen students ran to Garner, Garner students ran to Grant, Grant students ran to us at Penn. We all went out to cheer on the runners! Then our Penn runners took off to meet students running from Liberty High School.
7 schools, many students, but just 1 community running together.
A quick pause.
And, they're off ....
Gotta love all that purple!

HALLOWEEN Parade and Parties
We will celebrate Halloween on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
The whole school will be on parade at 1:20 pm. We'll be outside on the playground if weather permits or through the gym if it is raining or temps are below 40 degrees. Parents are welcome to come to watch, but we do want you to know that this is a very brief event.
Teachers will provide more specific info about their classroom parties.
Each classroom teacher will plan their party at a time convenient for their classroom.
All students are welcome to bring a costume for the parade, but no one has to dress up. Students will stay in costumes after the parade.
Parents who wish to take their student home after the parade must communicate with the classroom teacher.
Please remember: dressing up is fun. Let's keep it fun. No weapons, not even play weapons, are allowed as part of costumes.
Parents, if you would prefer for your child to not participate in a classroom party or the parade, that's ok. Please notify the classroom teacher by email so we can be sure to respect your wishes.
Order Penn Spirit Wear
Penn spirit wear included in the newsletter. Orders are due October 23rd and there are lots of new items are available. Could we also have this sent to all the teachers they can order if wish.
