The Manning Weekly Update
November 14, 2022

Hello Manning Parents,
As we head into the week before Thanksgiving, there are a lot of things to be thankful for here at Manning. We have an active bunch of students and parents working together to make Manning and the Community a better place. STUCO’s service project begins this week collecting pet donations for Denver Dumb Friends League and Kari Laniel's Journalism class will begin collecting socks for Jeffco’s Serving Kids. Read more about helping these groups below.
To all 8th grade students and parents, there are 4 High School Open Houses this week, please click here for more information.
Just a reminder there is no school, or newsletter, for Thanksgiving break from November 21st through the 25th. Enjoy the time with your family and friends and we will see you back in school Monday, November 28th.
Reminder, Monday, December 19 will be a school day for all students. Tuesday, December 20 will be a school day only for students who need to make up a final exam. Our Holiday Break begins on Wednesday, December 21.
Thanks for all your support -
Mike Collins, Principal
Lot's of Fun ways to Show Support and Gratitude this week!
Student Council’s 2022-2023 service project is taking place 11/14-11/18. We have selected the Denver Dumb Friends League as our charity and we will be collecting items for this shelter throughout the week. Please donate! Donation bins will be located in the main office and by the auditorium. These are the items needed.
SOCKS NEEDED! Ms. Laniel's Journalism class is collecting socks. Having warm, clean, new socks is something we take for granted. That’s why we are partnering with “Serving Kids” in collecting NEW SOCKS for Jeffco kids in need through December 18th.
Drop off your donation in the box outside of the office today!
A message from the District Nurse- How Sick is Too Sick??
A message from your School Nurse:
Dear Manning Families,
Please take a moment to review the following How Sick is Too Sick guidelines from the Colorado Department of Health. Manning is experiencing an influx of illness this fall and we are relying on our community to do their part in reducing the spread of communicable disease within the school. Please remember that there are more illnesses than just Covid that can be spread, and fever or a positive Covid test result are not the only reasons to stay home. Keeping our students and staff healthy and safe is our priority and we appreciate your help in doing this.
Laurie Ann Gibbons, RN BSN, District Nurse
