Winter Tabletop Tree Festival

Feeling creative? Getting ready for holiday decorating? Want to support the library?

We invite individuals, families, and businesses to pick up a 24-inch green or white tabletop tree from the library. Take it home to decorate in whatever creative way you wish.

Return decorated trees to the library by November 30th.

Visit the library from December 1st - 15th to view the trees and purchase raffle tickets to win one of the unique trees. Winners will be notified on or around December 16th.

Proceeds benefit the library, and your creativity lights up our community space!

Note from the Library Director

Greenwich Free Library's longtime director, Annie Miller, retired at the end of October, and I'm thrilled to introduce myself as the new librarian. The tremendous staff, volunteers, and board members have welcomed me and continue to support me as I learn more everyday about Greenwich and about the incredible resource that is your local library. I've met many patrons so far, and I look forward to meeting more of you throughout the winter. Please come say hello during our Open House (see below!), or during regular library hours.

Annie has reassured me many times that although she is retired, this is still her library, and she will help support me in the transition. It's important to me that she phrased it that way, this is still my library. The Greenwich Free Library is your library, too. Together, we can continue to build on its legacy of providing resources, comfort, and connection to all members of our community.

Thank you for welcoming me to Greenwich!

Support the Library by Shopping!

During the month of November 2021, Greenwich Free Library will receive a $1 donation from each purchase of the $2.50 reusable Community Bag at the Hannaford store located at 1165 Route 29, Greenwich NY.

We are honored to have been chosen as this month's Hannaford Helps Reusable Bags program. It's an easy way to shop more sustainably and help out the library at the same time. Bonus: these bags are great for carrying stacks of library books for your holiday reading!
