We had a great week back to our routine. The kids were so excited to tell me all about their holidays. Sounds like everyone had a lovely time.
We had a fun visit from Aaron's grandparents! They were here visiting from California and came to read to us. Thank you for coming!
We had a lesson from our school counselor on gratitude. The kids should have brought home their gratitude journals to share with you.
We are now back on regular library rotation, every Friday at 10:00. Please send in all library books to be returned. If you had ones that have been out for a while, send those in on Monday, otherwise, their new books can wait to return on Friday as normal.
Have a great weekend and Go Cowboys! (please don't hate on me for that...ha!)

WHAT WE ARE LEARNING
Language Arts-We are doing a unit on media literacy. We are looking at tricks advertisers use to persuade us. We are also practicing deciding if a piece of media is persuasive, informative or entertaining. We are back in our book clubs with new novels. The kids are loving it. We are also reading Mr. Popper's Penguins as our shared reading novel.
Social Studies and Science-We are looking at our natural resources. We are determining why people live where they do, how to take care of our earth and what are the different types of resources.
