Parent-Teacher Conference Week!

Parent-Teacher conferences will be held this upcoming week. One of the many reasons Catholic education is so effective is because of the outstanding dedication of our teachers. In partnership with parents, our main focus is to help our children reach their full spiritual and academic potential. We look forward to meeting with you!

Primary Campus Happenings!

The Primary Campus had a great presentation from Chief Clark And firefighter Matt last week. We learned a lot. STOP DROP AND ROLL...and cover your face will keep you safe! This week we have a student of the week in PreK, Maxwell S. Of course, we are celebrating Columbus Day will hats and songs in Kindergarten!

Rumors, Ghosting, Fake Accounts, oh my!

Over the past week and half, we have been very busy in the office dealing with the after effects of inappropriate use of social media. All instances have been off campus; but, they have impacted our campus in one way or the other.

We talk about these issues often in the classroom and students are aware that their texts and social media posts are permanent and public. We remind them that if they don't want you or I to see, then it shouldn't be posted. We encourage them to talk through their feelings with the direct person or a trusted adult rather than posting online.

I received the below blog on Saturday morning from Common Sense Media that speaks directly to the issues we have faced recently. I encourage you to read it so that you are aware and can help us prevent these current trends as we do not want them to impact our safe, warm learning environment.

Blessings, Mrs. Tracy Brunelle

MICAH Campaign

This past weekend, our St. Viator Parish second collection was offered to benefit the school MICAH Program. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me". We did not take him to mean the bright, pretty, talented children, rather ALL children are a gift from God. Six years ago, we created a special needs program based upon the scripture verse Micah 6:8: Act Justly, Love Tenderly, and Walk Humbly with God. Our program serves children with Downs Syndrome, Autism, and Epilepsy. While SOME see these students as ones with disabilities, we only see possibilities. We are seeking your prayers and if you are able a donation to keep the program alive at St. Viator. A flyer and envelope will be going home this week. Please pray for us and thank you for your consideration.
