Happy Spring

Little signs of spring are popping up everywhere; sunny afternoons, crocus and daffodils, the sounds of frogs, and lots of rain. Please make sure you send your child with a raincoat or an umbrella as we will be spending a few minutes outside after lunch each day. We know that it is important to take some time for movement and fresh air to reset our brains for learning. As long as it is safe to do so, we will have our breaks outside.

Other signs of spring include Student-Parent-Teacher conferences and along with that comes our PTA sponsored spring Scholastic Book Fair. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you don't already have a conference scheduled, they have been trying to get ahold of you. This is an important opportunity to celebrate your child's success and review his or her goals. Our fabulous teachers depend on your partnership!

Big picture

Authentic family engagement is critical to student success. Families are children's first and most important teachers. Together, parents and classroom teachers are partners in ensuring student’s academic and social-emotional strengths and needs are supported.

Here are a few tips to help families prepare for the meeting and conversation.
