Principal's Update

What's the scoop? From Dr. Hitchens

October Information

It's hard to believe that we are a month into the school year! It's clear that children are happy to be in the building again. The transition from summer to school is a big one for children, families and staff. It is impressive to observe how quickly rituals and routines improve and become the norm. Kudos to everyone.

Big picture

Safety Drills

Fire drills and lock down drills are required by MN state law. Each school year we must complete 5 of each. Before we had a chance to practice a drill, we had an actual event with fire fighters. There was no fire, some issues in the cafeteria. Our students were amazing considering we had not had a chance to prepare. We will continue to practice before winter. If there ever were an event at school, the community would be notified immediately.
