Principal's Update
What's the scoop? From Dr. Hitchens
October Information
Greetings!
It's hard to believe that we are a month into the school year! It's clear that children are happy to be in the building again. The transition from summer to school is a big one for children, families and staff. It is impressive to observe how quickly rituals and routines improve and become the norm. Kudos to everyone.
Questions to ask: These are just a few questions you might ask and get a lot of information. I ask our second grader what did you do today that was amazing? I get many more details and laughs. When you are looking to get the scoop on how the day was ask; What did you learn in math or reading today? | Say Cheese! We are working with Lifetouch to reschedule school picture dates. Like so many industries, they are under staffed and do not have enough photographers right now. As soon as we have a date, we will let you know. | Uniforms All students have received three brand new uniforms from the Women's Assistance League. As Maxfield continues to be a uniform school, we will maintain high expectations for all scholars to come to school in full uniform daily. |
