President's Message
Why Join MCES PTA? I have been asked this question many times. I joined because it keeps our family informed and involved in our children’s education. I like how it brings our community together for one purpose and goal. We all want our children to have the best education possible. Shrinking school budgets, increasing class size and government mandates are taxing to our school. With the help of PTA sponsored events, we are able to relieve MCES of these constraints and add educational benefits to our children’s education. PTA is self-funded, therefore we have to have fundraisers, members, and membership dues to support our programs. The National PTA says more than 85 research studies conducted over the past 30 years prove that kids do better when parents are involved. Grades are higher. Test scores improve. Attendance increases. Parent involvement will give you understanding of the challenges the school faces and you can become part of the solution.
It’s easy to become involved and stay informed in your MCES PTA. The easiest way is to read the News Around the Creek every Monday. It includes a calendar of events, fundraisers, updates on programs and, most importantly, ways to become involved by volunteering. The more folks we have to help, the more we can do for our school community. Check out MCES PTA website at http://middlecreekpta.weebly.com
Our Next General PTA meeting is November 17th at 7pm. Please join us and find out what the PTA has to offer you and your family. I am amazed every day by MCES PTA parent volunteers. They are hard-working, dedicated volunteers and they make wonderful assets to our school community.
I am always available to answer any questions or meet in person regarding MCES PTA. I can be reached at mcespresident@gmail.com

MCES Food Drive
Middle Creek is sponsoring our 10th annual Food Drive to benefit the The Holly Springs Food Cupboard from Thursday, October 15th through Wednesday, October 28th. You can drop off food and hygiene items from 8:00a.m to 8:30 a.m to Mrs. Parrish’s office each day of the Food Drive.
(Please no GLASS PRODUCTS or EXPIRED FOODS). Our goal is to fill up Mrs. Parrish's entire office and make our largest donation yet to help our neighbors, friends, and family in the Holly Springs community.
Would you like to help? We need volunteers to receive and stack donations for a short time in Mrs. Parrish's office each morning of the food drive (8:00 to 8:45/9:00AM) and on Friday, Oct. 30th for Donation Pick Up.
