What is sickle cell anemia?
Sickle cell is an inherited desiese that affect the red blood cells (no cure). It is a condition where the red blood cells is unable to carry an adequate amount of oxygen to spread to all the body parts that is in need of the oxygen. Complications include: stroke, acute chest syndrome, pulmonary hypertension, organ damage, blindness, gallstone and priapism. There are treatments to help slow the progress such as a blood transfusion.
