Essential Question:
The Task:
You will conduct research and use a platform of your choice to create a digital presentation of your plan. You will use digital tools to build your bunker and create digital charts to represent data for your plan. You can work with a partner on this assignment (canva and PowerPoint are good collaborative tools to use).

2. Imagine: What will an underground colony look like? How will it sustain the impact of the asteroid? Research what does the human body need to survive? Explain that the body is a system comprised or subsystems that maintain equilibrium and support life through digestion, respiration, execretion, circulation, sensation (nervous and integumentary) and locomotion (musculoskeletal).Think about shelter, food, water, medicine, and air. Make a detailed list, chart, or diagram.
3. Plan: How will you distribute goods and services to the colony? Create a list of materials needed. Create models using scale factor, ratios, numbers, and/or measurement.
4. Create: Make your underground colony. Use a platform of your choice. Label the parts in your colony. Write sentences to describe your colony and how it will sustain life. Use correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Integrate relevant and credible information from print and or digital sources; quote or paraphrase the data and conclusions of others while avoiding plagiarism and following a standard format for citation.
5. Improve: Evaluate your underground colony, re-build if needed to make sure your colony will survive life for up to one year after the asteroid.
*You can use a platform of your choice to create a presentation. If you use Minecraft Education, take screen shots of your work to put in your presentation. Spend some time looking at the resources that I provided for you. You will also do research on the internet on your own.
