I'm Proud of You!
Dear Prospector Families,
Thank you for working hard to navigate distance learning and independent studies. There are many hard days, and the learning curve has been steep! I am proud of you and your efforts to support your child's education.
There are a few important announcements in this edition of the Prospector Post. An October edition will be coming as well.
Sincerely,
Celeste Wahlberg, MA, MEd

Attendance in Distance Learning and Independent Study
Reminders:
- Please contact your child's teacher or call the office if you are having technical difficulties.
- Please CALL the office if you have an absence, so that we can clear the absence, just as in the regular school year.
- Have your child to attempt to complete work even if they aren't able to get on the Zoom call.
- For independent study, make every effort to keep your appointments. Student work completion/turned in on time is critical for attendance credit.
Yearbook Update
Ms. Cole worked all summer and into September to get corrections made to our yearbook. The publisher was closed for months due to Covid; offices closed and staff sent home. Ms. Cole spent hours on the phone speaking to representatives, local managers, district managers, and message machines.
Our yearbook had several issues to be resolved. This included duplicate classes (one teacher had four classes with a range of 4 students to over 50 students), students/classes from other schools, teachers from other schools, missing students, duplicate names with different photos, and duplicate students. The publisher continually failed to make corrections needed.
Without resolution and continued runaround from the publisher, it is with regret that we have concluded to request refunds for our families.
Lifetouch should be issuing refunds directly if you ordered on site. Ms. Cole will be processing refund paperwork to our site accounting and those will be mailed out.
Thank you for your understanding in a situation that was not in our control. This is a bitter disappointment, and we have made every effort to get the yearbook resolved. We could not accept the yearbook as it was, and there was no hope in sight for corrections to be made. My sincerest apologies for the disappointment this has caused.
We are looking at other ways that we can share memories from last year while respecting student privacy issues.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Wahlberg
