KMIS NEWSLETTER
DECEMBER 2021
Notes from the Principal
I would like to wish everyone a happy holiday season from Kraft Meadows Intermediate! I hope you and your families have an enjoyable break and find some time to enjoy family and friends. As we head into 2022, I ask that our students at KMIS continue to strive and perform at a high level of excellence in all that they do each and every day. Great things are happening and we are excited about the future of all of our students. It is an honor to be entrusted with your amazing kids each day. Thanks for your continued support and please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Happy holidays and have a great start to the new year!

ATHLETICS
Mrs. Angie Stauffer: Athletic Director stauffera@calschools.org (616) 891-1380
Wrestling for 6th graders will begin on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 3:00 - 4:30 PM in the North Upper Mat Room at Duncan Lake Middle School gym. If your 6th grader wishes to sign up for Wrestling, you will need to register them on FinalForms.
All student-athletes are required to be registered on our online athletic registration program. We are partnered with FinalForms, an online forms and data management service. FinalForms allows you to complete and sign athletic participation forms for your students online. The most exciting news is that FinalForms saves data from season-to-season and year-to-year, meaning that you will never need to enter the same information twice! You will review your information once per school year to verify the information is correct and sign the forms. Please take a moment and sign up for your athlete for the upcoming 2021-2022 Sports season. Using FinalForms is a one-stop-shop for the entire registration process. Please use the Middle School website. The Athlete Registration link that is provided on the Athletics Homepage and creates a new account under the "Parent Login" portion. On the Athletics homepage, you will also see a link for the "Parent Playbook" which gives you step by step instructions through the registration process. You do not need to pay the athletic fee until the season you are registering your athletic for begins. The registration link is: https://caledonia-mi.finalforms.com. Also, your athlete needs to have an Athletic physical form completed, signed and dated by the physician before he/she can participate in practices or competitions. This athletic physical needs to be dated on or after April 15, 2021.
There will be a shuttle bus to take wrestlers to DLMS. When you are picking up your child from practice please use the parent pick-up area off Kraft Avenue (on the west side of the school). Payment for athletics is not required until after the 1st Competition. You will be notified by Final Forms when payment is due.
Bittersweet Cards are on sale now. Buy your cards now so you don't miss any time on the snow. If you would like your cards before Christmas break please turn in your forms and payment by Monday Dec 13th. The forms and information on restrictions can be found using the following link: https://mrpetrosky.weebly.com/bittersweet-ski-club-cards.html
You can return your forms to the office at Kraft Meadows or at Duncan Lake. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Petrosky at petroskyd@calschools.org
