PRINCIPAL'S CORNER
Our snow hills are melting as is the pipe for our sump pump. The pipe is officially unfrozen so the flow of water onto the playground has stopped. When maintenance informed me of the good news, I gave a cheer. Classes have reviewed the spring/wet playground expectations. Mornings are still very cold so winter coats are needed. Kids must have boots to go onto playground equipment or into the field. This will help keep them dry and our classrooms clear of mud.
In the last couple of newsletters, I spoke about being positive and how to deal with stress. Today your child will come home with an article that explains how to help kids to learn to fail, through trial and error children become more resilient. Please take some time to read the article and see how it may help you and your child when it comes to failure and resiliency. This is in an effort to support one another in helping children grow in all aspects of life.
Spring break is just around the corner and behaviors can begin to escalate during these months so your help is greatly appreciated. It is very helpful if you remind your child of school expectations and how school is a place to learn and grow each morning before they leave.
As always, please see me with any questions, comments or concerns you have about learning or our school.
Happy end of March and welcome to April!
Mrs. Michalski
