- Cheers to all the talented students who performed and served on the crew for the Ruh Roh Variety Show for two spectacular nights! Many thanks to the teachers that facilitated this event as well ~ Ms. Fergus, Mrs. Malinowski, and compliments to Ms. Porras & Ms. Wharton for the special Poms performance at the show.
- Bravo to all of our student musicians in the Symphonic & Concert Bands with many performing at their first concert ever! We appreciate the masterful guidance of our band teachers ~ Ms. Horton, Ms. Pucci, and Mr. Berry.
- Kudos to the many students that began serving as Peer Tutors and are generously giving of their time to assist their peers with academic challenges along with organizational and social skill development. Many thanks to Mrs. Michelle Klein for organizing this.

Veterans Day Celebrations 2021
Please click here to view the TMS 2021 Veterans Day celebration videos. We are so proud to honor all of those who have served our country in war or peace — dead or alive — and to give thanks to the living veterans for their sacrifices. At Thomas Middle School this long-standing tradition of connecting with members of the Wolf Pack community and honoring our veterans was another fabulous celebration!
We wish to give a special shout-out to the TMS teacher Veterans - Capt. Carol Golemo & Mr. Dana Berry of the Army Band. Thank you for delivering our letters to the Arlington Heights American Legion - Post 208.
Traffic Alert - Drop Off & Pick Up Reminders
NO PARKING: During drop-off and pick-up times we ask that you please do not park in the staff parking lots. We recognize that the weather has turned cooler but we kindly request that you please drop your child(ren) off in the drop-off zones. Please do not park and wait in your cars until the building opens.
DROP OFF ZONES: Please be sure to pull up when dropping your child(ren) off. Stopping in an area that appears to be closer to the entranceway causes traffic back-ups which lead to cars trying to pass each other in the parking lot or on Belmont Avenue which is very dangerous. Please do not drop off students while on Thomas Street ~ that is very unsafe!
U-TURNS: Please do not make u-turns during drop-off and pick-up times.

District 214 FIRST Robotics Competition Teams 111 & 112 ~ WildStang Robotics
We are students from the District 214 FIRST Robotics Competition Teams 111 & 112, WildStang Robotics. Our team is made up of students from all grades and all six schools in District 214.
Throughout the year, our team hosts a number of outreach events with a goal of giving younger students experience with STEM. One of our most popular events is Miss Maker Workshop, targeting 9 to 14 year old girls. The purpose of the workshop is to get young girls interested in and excited about engineering and science.
The event this year is being held on December 4th. During the workshop, the girls will complete a Mechanical, Software and Electrical project. In the Mechanical session, the girls will construct a zip-line airplane. In Software, they’ll learn how to program using Scratch and create a computer game. And in the Electrical session, they will learn how to solder while building a line-following car.
