EVG's Weekly Update
Building a Better World, One Student at a Time
Week of May 16, 2022
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Although we are nearing the end of the school year, we still have many exciting and fun events scheduled. May has been busy at EVG. We are celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Students will be working on projects, assignments, and reading about the different cultures and countries celebrated. In addition, the character trait of the month of May is patience. Students are learning about how they can show patience at school, at home, and in their community.
Ms. Rhee and our band and choir students are hard at work preparing for the concert on June 2nd. We look forward to our first in-person concert in two years.
Start saving your spare change because the PTO will be hosting a Change Challenge at EVG. Contest rules will be sent out shortly. Money raised from the coin challenge fundraiser will carry over to each grade level to be used toward their 6th-grade graduation.
Please read below for important dates and upcoming events.
Regards,
Michele Higgins
