Jefcoed Announces E-Learning Days in November
Dr. Walter Gonsoulin, the Superintendent of the Jefferson County Board of Education, has announced that Jefcoed students will participate in three e-Elearning days prior to the Winter Break. On Monday, November 23rd and Tuesday, November 24th, students will participate in asynchronous learning activities at home. That is, they will not attend classes on campus, and they will not participate in WebEx sessions on those days. The third e-Learning day prior to the holidays is Friday, December 18th. Dr. Gonsoulin and the Department of Curriculum and Instruction are still working on the details of those days for teachers and staff. They will be released in the days ahead.
Second Quarter of 2020-2021 School Year Has Begun
Last Monday, the second quarter for the 2020-2021 school year began for Jefcoed students. The families of students had to declare prior to the beginning of the term in what learning environment their child/children would participate. At this time, the learning environments cannot be changed until the 3rd quarter begins on January 21, 2021. Any adjustments that may be made made must be related to health situations (isolation or quarantine), IEP changes, or teacher recommendation. Please contact the school counselor, Miss Chloe Whitaker, if you have any questions.
