February’s featured nutritious friend of the month is Ticklish Turnips. We will be featuring ROASTED TURNIPS on our menu and providing samples to students. Turnips are a root vegetable grown in colder climates. They are loaded with fiber and vitamins, as well as, minerals like manganese, potassium, magnesium, iron, calcium and copper. They are also a good source of phosphorus, omega-3 fatty acids and protein.
