Blaze Bulletin
Edition 38
Greetings...
Dear teachers,
The first nine weeks is in the books, and that's hard to believe. I just love so many things that are going on here, and I thank you for going above and beyond in so many ways. In addition to teaching our students well, we have also done Homecoming, Club Day, Testing Day this past week, parent-teacher conferences, and a quick football schedule change last night - all are just examples of what you make happen (and that's only in one week!!).
You deserve a great weekend - I hope you are filled with contentment of what your efforts have allowed our kids to experience!
GO BLAZE!

ACT Trash Talking at BHS
Two seniors are currently trash talking each other over their ACT scores (28 and 29 composites). One is trying to force a bet over who will have the highest score on the December test. Good kind of problem to have!

*Counselors and Assistant Principals will be having failure meetings with students next week who have failed a class during the first 9 weeks. Thanks for being understanding when we call students out of your classes. We will do our best to get them back to class as soon as possible.
*Governor’s School for the Arts applications are due October 26.
*If you know of any students who still need to fill out their TN Promise information, please let Mrs. Breiner know so she can call them down to get that started.
*Mrs. Clawson (S-Z counselor) will be returning on Thursday, October 25. Mrs. Allen (Mrs. Clawson’s current interim) will then be covering for Mrs. Borel while she’s out on maternity leave. We’re in the process of finding an interim for Mrs. Barber for when she goes out on maternity leave. #dontdrinkthewater #allthebabies
